How can I change the tax rate after the booking is created?

If you need to update the tax rate on a booking after it has already been created, you can do so at any time.

This is useful if:

  • The incorrect tax code was selected

  • The service location requires a different tax rate

  • A customer is tax-exempt

  • Tax rules were updated after the booking was created

Update the tax rate on a booking

  1. Log in to your MioCommerce account and go to Bookings.

  2. Open the booking you want to update.

  3. Click the Edit icon.

  4. Scroll to the Tax Information section.

  5. Click the tax field (green square) and select a different tax rate.

  6. Save your changes.

The updated tax rate will automatically recalculate the booking total.

What if the tax code I need isn’t listed?

If you don’t see the correct tax code, you can create a new one from your Tax Settings.

What happens after changing the tax rate?

  • The booking subtotal and total are recalculated

  • Future invoices generated from the booking will reflect the updated tax rate

  • Existing finalized invoices may need to be updated separately (if already issued)
