MioCommerce allows you to automatically collect payment when customers book through your online Booking Pages.
You can decide whether to:
Pre-Authorize a card (place a hold and capture later), or
Charge Immediately (ChargeNow) at checkout
These settings apply to each individual Booking Page.
Where to Configure Stripe Payment Options
To adjust your Stripe Payment Options, including setting up Pre-Authorized or ChargeNow payments for web bookings -
Navigate to Advance Bookings Pages → Select a Booking Page → Settings (left menu) → Stripe Payment Options
Before You Begin
To configure Pre-Authorization or ChargeNow, make sure:
1️⃣ Stripe Is Connected
Your Stripe account must be enabled and connected to MioCommerce.
If Stripe is not connected, you will see a message prompting you to connect it.

2️⃣ Stripe Is Enabled on the Booking Page
Inside your Booking Page:
Ensure Stripe is selected as a payment option
Make sure you are using the Booking Page Calendar Selection (real-time availability)
Save your Booking Page
Choose What & How Much to Collect at the Time of Booking
Inside Stripe Payment Options, select one of the following:
Option A: Pre-Authorize (Hold Now, Charge Later)
When a customer books online:
A hold is placed on their credit card
The hold can be for:
The Full Amount, or
A Fixed Amount (Deposit)
The charge is captured when you mark the booking as completed
This option is ideal if you prefer to charge only after the service is delivered.
Option B: ChargeNow (Charge at Checkout)
When a customer books online:
The card is charged immediately
Funds are transferred to your Stripe account right away
You can charge:
The Full Amount, or
A Fixed Amount (Deposit)
This option improves cash flow and reduces post-service collections.
Understanding Full Amount vs Fixed Amount
Full Amount
The total value of the booking.
Fixed Amount
A deposit paid upfront.
You choose the amount, and the remaining balance can be collected later.
Important
Stripe Payment Options must be configured separately for each Booking Page.
If you have multiple booking pages, review and set the preferred payment method on each one individually.
