MioCommerce allows you to issue full or partial refunds for customer payments directly from the platform. Refunds are tied to the original payment, helping you keep accurate records while ensuring a smooth experience for your customer.

Note: Refunds can only be issued for payments that were processed through MioPay (with Stripe).

How Refunds Work in MioCommerce

  • Refunds are issued against a specific payment transaction

  • You can refund:

    • The full amount, or

    • A partial amount

  • The refunded amount is returned to the customer’s original payment method


Step-by-Step: Refund a Customer Payment

Step 1: Open the Customer Profile

  1. Go to Customers

  2. Open the profile of the customer you want to refund

Step 2: View Payment Transactions

  1. Navigate to the Payments section within the customer profile

  2. Click All Customer Payment Transactions

This will display a list of all payments made by the customer.

Step 3: Select the Payment to Refund

  1. Locate the payment you want to refund

  2. Select the transaction

  3. Click Refund


Step 4: Enter the Refund Amount

  1. Enter the amount you want to refund

  2. Click Issue Refund

Once confirmed, the refund request is submitted successfully.
