How can I allow my customer to self cancel or reschedule a booking?

Modify the self-rescheduling and self-canceling option for each booking page

You can allow customers to cancel or reschedule their bookings on their own.

This setting can be enabled or disabled for each Booking Page individually, giving you full control over how bookings are managed.

When enabled:

  • Customers have an option to Cancel or Reschedule on their booking confirmation email.

  • They can also manage their booking directly from the Customer Portal β€” without needing to contact you.

  • You (the Admin) are notified instantly by email when any changes are made.

  • The booking is updated automatically in real time on the MioCommerce platform.

Step by Step Process -

1. In the left navigation bar, Go to Advanced Booking Pages > Select a specific booking page you would like to update the settings.

2. Now go to settings and click on "Notifications"

3. You will see an option to allow your customers to reschedule & cancel a booking for that specific booking page. Choose your preferred setting.

4. Set the Allowed Timeframe to cancel and/or reschedule

If enabled, you can define:

How late a customer is allowed to cancel or reschedule before the booking time.

For example:

  • Up to 24 hours before service

  • Up to 12 hours before service

After that window closes, only administrators can make changes.

What Happens When a Customer Cancels or Reschedules?

  • The booking is updated automatically

  • The administrator/operator is notified instantly

  • The calendar reflects the change in real time
