How do I send a request to my customer to add their credit card information?

MioCommerce allows you to securely request your customer’s credit card information by sending them an email with a secure payment link.

This is especially useful when:

  • A booking was created by phone or manually

  • No card is currently on file

All card details are handled securely through Stripe.

Before You Start

  • Your MioCommerce account must have MioPay (Stripe) connected

  • The customer must exist in your Customers list

  • This process does not expose card details to you — Stripe handles everything securely

Step-by-Step: Request a Customer to Add Their Credit Card

Step 1: Open the Customer Profile

  1. From the left-hand main menu, go to Customers

  2. Select the customer you want to request card information from

Step 2: Go to Payment Information

  1. Scroll to the Payment Information section

  2. Click Payment Options

Step 3: Send the Secure Payment Request

Under the Actions panel:

  • Click Send Email to request the customer to add their credit card

  • If you already have the card details and want to add them manually, click Create Payment Option

Step 4: Confirm the Request Was Sent

You can verify that the request was sent successfully by checking:

  • The Notifications section within the customer profile

This confirms the email was delivered.

After the Customer Adds Their Card

Once the customer submits their card details:
