MioCommerce allows you to securely request your customer’s credit card information by sending them an email with a secure payment link.
This is especially useful when:
A booking was created by phone or manually
No card is currently on file
All card details are handled securely through Stripe.
Before You Start
Your MioCommerce account must have MioPay (Stripe) connected
The customer must exist in your Customers list
This process does not expose card details to you — Stripe handles everything securely
Step-by-Step: Request a Customer to Add Their Credit Card
Step 1: Open the Customer Profile
From the left-hand main menu, go to Customers
Select the customer you want to request card information from
Step 2: Go to Payment Information
Scroll to the Payment Information section
Click Payment Options
Step 3: Send the Secure Payment Request
Under the Actions panel:
Click Send Email to request the customer to add their credit card
If you already have the card details and want to add them manually, click Create Payment Option
Step 4: Confirm the Request Was Sent
You can verify that the request was sent successfully by checking:
The Notifications section within the customer profile
This confirms the email was delivered.
