The MioCommerce integration with Stripe allows you to capture customer billing information directly in the MioCommerce admin, or in your Stripe account, making it easy to charge and manage payments through Stripe.
Charge a customer through MioCommerce
Step 1. Go to the Bookings list in your ops console. Select the booking that you would like to charge or capture the payment for.
Step 2. To charge the customers, please navigate to the right menu > "Actions"
There can be 3 scenarios -
a. When you want to charge the full booking amount.
For example, Charge a $100 booking fully
(i) You can click on "Charge Customer" under actions, a pop-up will appear. Select Stripe if you have stripe integration add $100 and click "Yes, Charge the customer" or choose other modes and click "Yes, record the collection". (pointed by the blue arrow in the below screenshot)
(ii) You can click on "Capture" under the right menu > payment processor if you have stripe integration. It will capture the full pre-authorized amount. (pointed by the red arrow in the below screenshot)
b. When you want to partially charge for a booking.
For example, charge a $30 advance amount (from the $215.50 Booking amount)
You can click on "Charge Customer" under actions and choose Stripe if you have stripe integration enter $30 and click "Yes, Charge the customer" or choose other modes and enter $30 and click "Yes, record the collection".
And when you want to charge the rest of the $185.50, simply follow the same steps and enter $185.50 and click "Charge"
c. When you adjust the price of the booking.
For example, the booking amount was $100. During the service, they added a few extras worth $50. Now the new booking amount is $150
First, the booking needs to be edited by adding an extra with the cost. Once the booking is saved and reflects the new amount of $150. You can click on "Charge Customer" under actions and choose Stripe if you have stripe integration click "Yes, Charge the customer" or choose other modes and enter $150 and click "Yes, record the collection".
WARNING
Once you click “Yes, charge the customer”, you will see a message in the top-right corner of the window explaining that the charge was successful. Do not charge the customer again, else there will be duplicate charges made through Stripe.
Notice the payment status has turned to Green displaying "Charged in full"
