Who are Prospects in MioCommerce?

A Prospect is a potential customer whose contact details are captured in MioCommerce before they become a confirmed customer.

The Prospects feature helps you:

  • Follow up at the right time

  • Centralize conversations across channels

  • Convert interest into customers, bookings, or quotes

A Prospect can be created from multiple sources, including:

  • Manual imports

  • Your Multi-Channel Inbox (SMS, Chat Box, Google Business, Facebook Messenger, Email, Instagram)

  • Quotes or Service Requests created for someone who is not yet a customer

  • Visitors who start but do not complete a booking on your booking page

In short, Prospects are your warm and hot leads — all in one place.

How Prospects Get Created

A Prospect is created any time someone enters your Miocommerce system without an existing customer record and without a confirmed booking.

1. From Booking Pages (Abandoned or Incomplete)

A visitor:

  • Opens your booking page

  • Enters an email and/or phone number

  • Leaves before clicking Book Now or Request a Quote

Their contact details are automatically saved as a Prospect.

Common reasons: interruption, lost connection, comparison shopping, or “I’ll come back later.”

A Prospect is automatically created when a new contact (not an existing customer) reaches out through:

  • Website Chat Box

  • SMS

  • Email

  • Google Business Messages

  • Facebook Messenger

  • Instagram

Note: If the person is not yet a customer, MioCommerce treats them as a Prospect and keeps all conversations in one visible thread.

3. Manual Creation by Your Team

You can manually add a Prospect when:

  • Someone calls your business

  • You meet a lead offline

  • You receive a referral

Path: Create → Prospect

You can capture:

  • Name & contact details

  • Source of prospect

  • Notes & internal information

4. Importing Prospects (Bulk Upload)

If you already have leads in another system, you can import them in bulk.

📍 Path: Prospects → Import Prospects

You can:

  • Upload a CSV file (UTF-8 encoded)

  • Test the file before importing

  • Map fields correctly (email, phone, name, etc.)

5. Quotes

When you create a Quote for someone who is not already a customer, MioCommerce automatically creates them as a Prospect.

Since there is no booking yet, the contact remains in your Prospects list until converted.

6. Service Requests

Similarly, when you create a Service Request for someone who is not an existing customer, they are created as a Prospect.

Service Requests do not equal bookings, so the contact stays under Prospects.

Where to Find Your Prospects

📍 CRM → Prospects

From the Prospects list, you can:

  • View all prospects in one place

  • Filter by source and time period

  • Open a prospect profile

  • Start conversations instantly

  • Convert prospects into customers

Below Video shares where you can look for your prospects. And if your prospect gets converted into a customer, One-click is all you need to "Convert to a Customer" from the existing data.

What You Can Do with a Prospect

From a Prospect profile, you can:

  • Send messages via the Inbox (with enabled channels)

  • Add internal notes for your team

  • Edit prospect details

  • View location (if available)

  • Track communication permissions

  • Convert the Prospect to a Customer with one click

All existing information is carried over — no re-entry required.

Prospects help you:

  • Capture demand you may otherwise lose

  • Respond faster and more personally

  • Increase booking and quote conversions

  • Keep sales, marketing, and support aligned

Instead of guessing who to follow up with, MioCommerce shows you exactly who your potential customers are.
