MioAssistant Automations Overview

Learn how automations work and how to use them

What Are MioAssistant Automations?

MioAssistant Automations help you automatically handle routine tasks in your business—so you spend less time on manual work and more time serving customers and growing your business.

Once enabled, automations run quietly in the background and take action for you based on clear rules you control.

Who Can Use Automations?

Automations are currently available to MioCommerce Grow customers, with more automations and advanced capabilities being added over time.

Each automation is optional—you decide when (or if) to use it.

How Automations Work

Enable Automations Individually

Each automation can be turned on or off independently.

This gives you full control over which automations are active in your account.

You can start small and enable more automations as your business evolves.

Choose Which Customers Are Included

When you enable an automation, you decide how it applies:

  • All new customers
    Automatically activates selected automations for customers as they’re added—so there’s no extra setup later.

  • All existing customers
    Applies the automation to every customer currently in your account.

  • Specific customers only
    Turn automations on or off for individual customers at any time from their Customer Profile → Automations view.

You can change these settings at any time.​


Important: When Automations Run

Automations only apply from the moment they’re enabled.

  • Automations do not process past activity

  • Previous actions or data are not changed

  • Everything starts fresh and predictable from the time you turn an automation on

This ensures you always stay in control of your operations.


Monitor Automation Activity

MioAssistant includes an Automations Activity view so you can see exactly what’s happening.

From this view, you can:

  • See which automations have run

  • Check their current status

  • Open links to review the actions taken

This makes it easy to stay informed and confident about what MioAssistant is doing on your behalf.

Navigate to Activity in the main left menu (bottom), then select Automations Activity to view all automation activity.

Best Practices

  • Start by enabling automations for a small group of customers if you want to test behavior

  • Review the Automations Activity view regularly when first getting started

  • Adjust individual customer settings as needed—you’re always in control

    Automate when and how customers are charged, including one-time and recurring payments. Reduce late payments and manual billing while keeping full control over timing and rules.

You can enable these automations individually and adjust settings at any time as your business needs evolve.
