How to edit a Quote?

When can a Quote be edited?

A Quote can be edited:

  • While it is in Draft status (after it’s been saved), or

  • After it has been sent to a customer or prospect

Customers or prospects can also request changes before accepting a Quote, allowing you to update and resend it easily.

How to edit a Quote

Follow these steps to edit an existing Quote.
Step 1: Open the Quote

  • From the left-hand navigation, go to Quotes

  • Select the Quote you want to edit

Step 2: Click Edit

  • In the right-hand menu, under Actions, click Edit

Once in edit mode, you can update several parts of the Quote

What you can edit on a Quote

After clicking Edit, you’ll be able to modify the following:

Contact Information

  • For new prospects, you can edit the first name, last name, and phone number

  • For existing customers, contact details must be updated from the customer profile

Service location

  • You can edit the service location linked to the Quote

  • If no location was added, you can add one

Advanced Booking Page Options & Extras

Custom services, extras or discounts

Add, edit, or remove:

  • Custom line items

  • Extras

  • Discounts

Editable Standard Quote form

Add, edit, or remove any goods or services included in the final Quote

Frequency

Add, remove, or edit service frequency options as needed

Terms & Conditions

Update the Terms & Conditions displayed on the Quote

Notes

  1. Add or edit internal notes

  2. Upload or remove attachments

Attachments

Expiration date

Update the expiration date for the Quote

What you cannot edit on a Quote

Some details cannot be changed once a Quote is created.

You cannot edit:

  • The email address of the customer or prospect

    • To send a Quote to a different email, create a new Quote

  • The service type (for example: Home Cleaning, Commercial Cleaning, Car Wash, Mobile Detailing, Pet Services)

What to do after editing a Quote

After making changes to a Quote, you can:

  • Save the Quote to continue editing later

  • Preview the links under Customer Links to see exactly what your customer will see when they open the Quote email to make sure everything is as intended

  • Resend the Quote so the customer can review the updated details

Once resent, the customer can accept or decline the updated Quote.
If accepted, the Quote will be automatically converted into a booking.

Note: Automatic reminders continue to follow your Quote settings.

Common questions about editing Quotes

  1. Do I have notify my customer after sending a Quote?

    No. After sending a Quote, the system sends the updated version by email and/or SMS, notifying the customer they received a quote.

    The customer can then review the Quote and accept or decline it.

  2. Can I edit a Quote after it has been sent?
    Yes. Quotes can be edited after they are sent, as long as they haven’t been accepted. After editing, the Quote can be resent to the customer.

    It cannot be edited once accepted.

  3. Will the customer see the changes I make?
    Yes. Once the updated quote is send, any changes made are visible to the customer when they review it.

  4. Can I change the price on a Quote after sending it?
    Yes. You can edit pricing, services, discounts, and frequencies before the Quote is accepted.

  5. Can I edit multiple Quotes at once?
    No. Quotes must be edited individually.

  6. Can customers edit a Quote themselves?
    No. Customers can request changes, but only Admins can edit and resend Quotes.

  7. Can I customize when I want to remind the customer about a Quote?

    Yes. You can customize when reminder emails/SMS are sent by adjusting your Quote reminder settings.

    Once enabled, reminder emails are sent automatically based on the schedule you define. These reminders apply to Quotes that have been sent but not yet accepted or declined.

  8. Can I view what my customers will see when they click links in a Quote email?

    Yes. From the Quote page, navigate to the right-hand menu and go to Customer Links. This lets you preview exactly what your customer will see when they click on any link in the Quote email below:

    • Book and Buy Now

    • Decline

    • View Quote Online
